Summer fun in the Zugspitze region

Events

The absolute event highlight of the region is the mountain bonfire at the summer solstice, where the longest day and the shortest night are celebrated with spectacular fire motifs. Every year on around the third Saturday in June, the motifs of the fireworks are conjured up in the mountain scenery of the Wetterstein massif, the Mieminger Kette and the Lechtal Alps.

Numerous other summer activities at the foot of the Zugspitze offer varied leisure fun for young and old:

  • Summer toboggan run
  • canyoning
  • paraglyding
  • Llama hikes
  • Stop off at a mountain hut
  • Alpine cattle drive
  • Monster scooter
  • Petting zoo and magic forest
