Cross-country skiing

Our perfectly groomed trails in all levels of difficulty invite beginners and experienced cross-country skiers, in classic or skating style
A special feature of our Tiroler Zugspitz Arena: all cross-country ski trails can be used free of charge.

Guaranteed snow thanks to the optimal altitude and snowfarming trail, the gold circular trail between Ehrwald and Lermoos is covered in snow
The longest trail - the Arene trail - is around 40 kilometres long and leads through several villages in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. With an easy to moderate difficulty level, it is also ideal for beginners.
For our high-altitude enthusiasts: several kilometres of the cross-country skiing network are high-altitude trails (in Berwang) and therefore absolutely snow-sure.
Good to know: The trails are groomed depending on the current weather conditions.

Take advantage of the variety for families, leisure skiers and sporty ski fans in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. The Ehrwalder Almbahn, Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen and Berwang-Bichlbach ski areas have been recognised as certified Tyrolean family ski areas.

The 7 ski areas Ehrwalder Alm ski area, Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen ski area, Zugspitzplatt ski area, accessible with the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn, Marienberg Biberwier ski area, Grubigstein Lermoos ski area, Berwang-Bichlbach ski area, Karlift Heiterwang comprise 143 kilometres of pistes.

Carriage rides, winter and snowshoe hikes
